QT100-A™ End confusion over where each channel is being routed. Each channel has a unique marker that will allow you to distinguish it from any other. The marker can be turned off for a solid tone and the tone can be turned off for silence.
Front panel switches allows complete control:
Select one of three preset frequencies. Default frequencies are 1000 Hz, 400 Hz, and 250 Hz.
Select one of three preset amplitudes. Default amplitudes are 8 dBu, 4 dBu, and 0 dBu.
Select Continuous Tone, Tone OFF, and Tone With Marking. Default marking is equal intervals of Silence and Tone each 133 ms long with repetition based on channel number. The sequence is repeated every 5 seconds.
Select Internal or External tone source.
Standard full size XLR audio connectors. No special adaptors needed. |
Flexibility:
External audio input allows you to use your own special tone or audio. Markers can be added to the external audio signal.
Convenient 600 Ohm balanced input and output.
Internal frequencies are digitally synthesized and crystal regulated.
Amplitudes are controlled with a digital potentiometer. No wiper or switch noise.
Handy Front Panel LED indicates when markers are being sent.
Compact low-voltage design can be easily used with mobile equipment. |
Optional Remote Control Software:
Windows based software package allows full remote control and customization of the QT-100A.
Override and emulate all four of the front panel functions including selecting the external input.
Select more frequencies than the front panel allows. Programmable frequency selection range is 45 Hz to 7812 KHz.
Select more amplitudes than the front panel allows. Programmable amplitude selection range selection is 8 dBu to minus infinity (100 steps).
Program different frequencies and amplitudes into the front panel switches.
Program different marker spacing and repeat rates. Marking period can be adjusted from 33 ms to 8 seconds. Repeat rates can be adjusted from 330 ms to 16 seconds plus 8x the marking period.
Any changes made to the control settings are retained indefinitely by saving them to EEPROM memory. |
Tone: Single internal audio tone is created from a crystal controlled square wave filtered with an 8 pole Bessel digital filter sampled at 64 times the fundamental frequency. The third harmonic is attenuated more than 60 dB. Switch selectable frequencies are 1000, 400, and 250 Hz.
Amplitude: Maximum usable amplitude internal or external is 8 dBu. Switch selection for internal tone of 8, 4 and 0 dBu.
Marking: Marking is 133ms OFF separated by 133ms ON, repeated times the channel number. Sequence is repeated every five seconds. Switch selection is Tone, OFF, Mark. An LED indicates when marking is being inserted.
External Audio/Internal Tones: Select from either internal tones or user provided external audio. Both modes allow marker to be added.
Input/Output: External Input: balanced 600 Ohm. Output balanced 50 Ohm.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Interface: Standard USB-B interface. For connection to PC and optional customizing program. Interface is USB 1.0 compliant
Input Current: 200ma Maximum.
Input Voltage: 12VDC or 9VAC to 12VAC 50/60Hz. Connector 2.1mm X 5.5mm X 11mm (inner x outer diameter x Length)
Input power adapter: 120VAC converter to 12VDC @ 200 ma.
Temperature: 0 deg C to 50 deg C (32 F to 125 F) non condensing
Size L X W X H: 185mm x 107mm x 60mm (7.25in x 4.22in x 2.4in). Handsome black anodized aluminum box with yellow text that won't rub off.
Warranty: 90 days to cover normal operation, defects in materials, and workmanship.
|
Complete computer remote operation of the QT100A through an USB interface.
USB drivers are included.
Selection of one of five preset frequencies, Default: 60, 250, 400, 1000, and 2000 Hz
Selection of one of five preset Amplitudes. Default: -10, 0, 2, 4, and 8 dBu
Select TONE, OFF, MARK, and SWEEP modes
Select Internal or External tone source.
Sweep mode injects frequency sweep from 180 Hz to 7.8 KHz. The sweep repeats every 8.3 seconds and represents 256 distinct tones, each 33 ms long.
Calibrate/change any of the preset frequencies. Range: 45 Hz to 7812 Hz
Calibrate/change any of the preset amplitudes. Range: – 32 dBu to 8 dBu in 99 steps
Modify the marker repeat rate from 0.067 to 16.8 seconds.
Modify the marker chirp size and spacing from 0.033 to 8.3 seconds.
Restore factory default settings or last saved calibration settings.
Save any changes/calibrations so that the QT100A can be operated with the new power-on settings without the support program. |
