ROBERT C. BLUE
Mr. Robert C. Blue, age 87, of 209 E. Nelson Ave., DeFuniak Springs, Fla., died early Friday morning, Jan. 28, 2000. Mr. Blue was a resident and businessman of DeFuniak Springs since 1946. He owned and operated Blue Motor and Equipment Company, an automobile truck and tractor dealership, for many years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Mae Bean Blue. Mr. Blue is survived by one brother, C.V. Blue of Crestview, Fla.; three sisters: Gladys Tolson and Evelyn Gershon of Pensacola, Fla., and Vera Kelly of California; two sons, Rob Blue and wife Susan and Bill Blue and wife Betty; four grandchildren: Bonnie Blue of Houston, Texas, Jill Blue of Tallahassee, Fla., Robbie Blue of Panama City, Fla., and Erin Blue of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at First United Methodist Church of DeFuniak Springs with the Rev. Bobby Ellisor officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make donations in memory of Robert C. Blue to the First United Methodist Church or to a charity of their choice. Charlie Blue, age 90, of Crestview, Fla., passed away.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1915, in Baker, Fla., and was a lifetime resident of the Baker and Crestview area. Charlie previously owned and operated Ford and Oldsmobile dealerships, Motels and Classic Men's Wear. He was a founding member of First National Bank of Crestview and was the founder and president of C.V. Blue Motors, Inc. Charlie was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Crestview. He was an avid golfer and liked to fish.
Charlie was preceded in death by his son, Charles V. Blue Jr.; and numerous sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hilda Blue of Crestview; son, Danny Blue of Brooksville, Fla.; daughters, Diane Reeves of Destin, Fla., Deborah J. Blue of Sarasota, Fla., and Charlsie Blue Shine of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Gladys Tolbert of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, beginning at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Crestview with the Rev. Alan Kilgore, Ray Wilson and Carl Lambert officiating. A visitation will be held before the service from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
A private family burial will follow at Pyron Chapel Cemetery.

Gladys "Blue" Marie Tolson died at Select Specialty Hospital on November 17, 2010. She was the daughter of Gus Blue and Virginia Wilkinson, and the youngest of 12 children. She was born and raised in Baker, FL., and attended Baker High School. She went on to earn her R.N. degree at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.
In 1953, Blue married Richard "Dick" M. Tolson, LCDR, of Houstonia, MO. They went on to have two boys. As a devoted navy wife, she traveled the world, working as a nurse, mother and homemaker, living in Texas, California, Missouri, Japan and Florida. She was an active member of Christ Church.
After her children were grown, Blue enjoyed traveling the world with Dick, going to such places as: Thailand, Greece, Egypt, China, Mexico and Italy.
Blue had good family, good friends and good dogs.
She is survived by her husband, her son and daughter-in-law, Dirk and Mel Tolson of Augusta, GA., her son Mark Tolson of Washington, DC, and her grandchildren Zoe Hickerson and Adam Tolson of Augusta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to the Florida Dachshund Rescue, Inc. (fldr.org) or the Pensacola Breast Cancer Association (pensacolabreastcancer.org).

Levy passed peacefully from the life on April 22, 2014. Levy was born on January 10, 1935 in Pensacola, FL to Levy B. and Dottie L. Blue. The family soon moved to Baker, FL where he grew up and attended local schools. Before graduation from high school, in 1952, he began work as an apprentice at the Overhaul and Repair Department at Pensacola Naval Air Station. He was a civil servant working for both Navy facilities and Air Force facilities for more than 38 years. He retired from Naval Aviation Depot in August 1990 as an Industrial Engineer.
Levy was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Ferrell L. Blue; his former wife, and mother of his children, Joy E. Blue; and a grandson, Paul B. Churchill.
Survivors include: five daughters, Elizabeth L. Blue, Dorothy J. Blue, Linda Sue Churchill (David), Mary E. (Michael) Sturm and Joann Blue (Ahmed Al Mayman); grandchildren, Allen (Amber) Galbreath, Devin (Jon Hodge) Churchill, Justin (Kiersten) Sturm, Ginnie Sturm and Nura, Mansour and Lulua Al Mayman; great grandchildren, Julia and Cole Jablonski. He is also survived by his extended family: the love of his life, Bobbie Miller; stepsons, Michael (Donna Griggs) Miller, Randall Miller and Stephen (Susan) Miller; step grandchildren, Deanna (Bryant Taylor) Sanders, Douglas (Nichole) Miller, Tim Miller, Sarah (Austin) Wilkinson, Matthew, Logan, Joshua and Stephen Miller, Michael Lewis, and Theresa Lillie; seven step great grandchildren, Gavin, Cameron, Dalton, Rome, Diamond, Kenny and Nevaeh.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
